I made an Imperial IPA a couple months ago, and it has been in the keg for about 3 weeks now. I have been noticing a progressively increasing amount of sediment (yellowish, I assume yeast) in the beers I pour which settles slowly into the bottom of my glass as I'm drinking it. This is happening more and more frequently, with more and more yeast coming out in each beer. I assume that it's a yeast cake forming in the bottom of my keg that is getting disturbed by the outlet tube? Is there anything to do about it now, or to avoid similar issues in the future?? I suppose I could siphon the remaining beer off the yeast in the keg and into a different one, but that kinda seems like a pain in the ass. Is there an easier fix?? Thanks guys!

That doesn't seem right. I get about 1/2 glass with tons of yeast in the first pour, but after that it's fine.

Are you moving the keg around? That will cause the yeast to resuspend and then fall again by the diptube. I notice that when my keg is done, there is a small yeast cake on the bottom with a "clean" area round the diptube.

The only other thing I can think of is that you used a not-too-flocculant yeast strain and it's just now settling in the keg.

3 weeks in the keg should have been plenty, but I have had beers that just won't settle. I end up filter them.

Did you cold crash the fermenter before you racked to keg? If not, I suspect you're getting the yeast to finally settle but it's not quite packed onto the bottom of thekeg yet. Since the dip tube draws from the bottom, it's sucking up the more yeast laden beer now. I think after another 2 weeks and a few more pours, the clearer beer will be pouring.
