sorry, another Newbie question...
Here is the recipe I am using for my first batch of cider with apples from my tree :

1 gal. juice
1/3 lb. sugar
1/2 tsp Pectic Enzyme
1/2 tsp Energizer
1 crushed Campden tablet
1 pkg (5 grams or .176 ounces) Champ. yeast.

I want to start with 5 gallons of juice. Do I have to multiply everything by 5, or is that excessive for some of the ingredients? From what i've read, I multiply everything, except for the yeast, which should be sufficient. Just wanted to check with the experts to make sure! :)

Thanks,
Ian

Definitely multiply the juice and the sugar by 5. As far as the energizer and ur chemicals, I would follow whatever the directions to those tell you, typically they are by the gallon. so yes, multiply that number by 5 also.
