Preparing to brew a RIS and I was wondering what you guys think about the recipe:

14.33lbs pale ale 73%
0.45 caramunich 2.2%
1lb caraaroma 5.1%
1lb chocolate 5.1%
1lb roasted barley 5.1%
0.45 carafa 2.2%
1lb flaked oats 5.1%
0.45 special B 2.2%

Mash: 90min at 152
Mash efficiency: 65%
OG: 1.088
FG: 1.024
Hops: Columbus. IBU: 68
Yeast: 2x US-05

Nobody?

Should I scale down Caraaroma to 3.5% and raise Caramunich to 3.5%?

I wouldn't use cararoma and special B together. Even just a pound of cararoma is going to make it heavy on the liquorice and dried fruits. Perhaps sub it for a paler crystal malt, say C80 or 60.

Perhaps use munich malt as opposed to caramunich

Otherwise looks good to go

From what I read cararoma and special b are a bit different so why wouldn't they work?

They are different in the way say carafa III and debittered black malt is or how chocolate and carafa III.

They will both contribute a similar quality and a little of both can go a log way. Special b is more plumb dried fruit and Caraaroma more liquorice.

If you really want liquorice then go for it, but a lb of caraaroma is a lot and will produce a more porter like beer. Think evil twin little B

Ohh. Ok. Well I adjusted the recipe a bit. I am also looking for a balance between the crystal and black malt

14.33lbs pale ale 71.5%
0.77 caramunich 3.9%
0.77 caraaroma 3.9%
1lb chocolate 5.1%
1lb roasted barley 5.1%
0.45 carafa 2.2%
1.3lb flaked oats 6.6%
0.45 special B 2.2%
