Hey homebrewers what type/grade of copper tubing do I need in which to make an immersion chiller out of? #homebrew

I can get a good price on it through work.

Thanks Guys

I just recently made mine out of about 30-40' of 1/2" type-m that was leftovers at work. I know people use 3/8" as well, but with the 1/2" I cooled 5 gallons in a hair under 15 mins...

I used 3/8" and get very good cooling, but my ground water temp is about 40F winter / 55F summer so 1/2" might be better for most people.

Cool deal thanks y'all. U can get 50' of 1/2 for The super low
Through my work. gonna order it monday then.
