I did a 120 min IPA and am thinking of icing it to bump up the ABV.
1) what is the best temperature to chill to to get water to freeze and not alcohol?
2) Do you collect the ice to concetrate wort? If so how do you get the ice out of a 6 1/2 gallon glass carboy?

Thanks

You'll probably lose a lot of the character of the beer......why not add a very small amount of grain alcohol?

Interesting thread! Will need to try this sometime, maybe this winter (it's a lot easier to freeze your beer when it's -20F overnight in mid-January in the Minnesota winter).
