Ice-O-Matic Fermentation Chamber

I ran across a perfectly good Ice-O-Matic ice dispenser. I'm thinking if I turn it on w/out hooking up water, it'll still pump out cold air. My plan is to build a fermentation chamber with the ice maker on a pallet on the floor with insulated plywood walls around it.

Has anyone seen one of these in use for a FC?

Anyone built a 220V temperature controller?
