I am trying to get a good, reliable thermometer...but it is getting out of hand.

I might just go for a therma K module...but I have no clue what probe would be the best to measure liquid temperature properly. Any experience/ideas from you people?

I am wondering if this will do?

I haven't bought it yet... But I have this lined up in my shopping cart:
Therma K
THS-113-373-T wire probe with Teflon tip

Should be good for everything from Mash temps to fermentation temp monitoring.

Actually this thread got me to pull the trigger on the above.
Seems to me the most important part of brewing is temperature control.
Worth the investment...

I have this and also I recently purchased the "Fast Response Meat Needle Probe
Model: 113-151
"

The meat probe has a MUCH faster response than the wire.
I use the wire to monitor my fermentation and maybe I'll stick it in my mash tun, but the probe is the most useful, for me, on brew day.
