This will be bobby tomorrow if she dosen't get the opposum tonight

Something like that, LOL, came down with the flu, blaming that nasty possum for it. Does anyone not think the trap will work? You know, if hubby brings home the catfood and maybe I put a bowl of water for that thirsty bastard just out of reach?

Maybe if you can't get the water in the trap, set it just at the end. Seems like he wants a drink.
Catch that varmint!

Yes, the trap will work eventually. But the beauty of the hav-a-hart type traps is the animal doesn't see it as a trap. They can look through it to the other side. Trying to force the animal into the entrance rarely works with those types of traps. I'd put it in the open, and bait it with an open can of sardines. It'll find it. Messing around trying to corral it is counter-productive.

Yeah, that is what I am going to do. The bowl will be outside the trap, but in a direction that he will be lured that way. Come here, thirsty bastard, have a nice drink of fresh water....

I already tried it that way though, put the trap on his way to the dog's water dish. If he smelled the bait, he was too stupid to figure out how to get to it. Just pushed it around the yard, already set off the trigger, no way he could get to the bait at that point.

I tell you Bobbi I figured you had him caught and was hanging out to hear this morning.

H

Patience, grasshopper. He'll figure it out, to his demise.

I think it will work eventually, I have had pretty good luck with them. You might want to cover the sides and top of the trap, makes him think he has less options. The only way out is the light at the end of the tunnel.

Ah, yes, add the catfood bait then throw a blanket over the whole trap, but leave just a little opening at the end, leading to a bowl of water and some nice cat food.... I got this.... 'possum stew coming soon!!!

Yeah, but not good enough. Did you see the concrete barricades I added?

I did and I think it will work. And I think you will be eating possum soon. I have to tell you I am living vicariously through your trapping tale. Yes I am suffering from cabin fever:p

Well, just go outside and trap something to eat. It will be fun. No need to have cabin fever.

My sister lives in Idaho Falls. She's a trapper too.

Can she look and tell me if there are any flaws in the trap now? His only way out to a water source is either to tear the house up, forcing his way through wood and nails, or push over 100 pounds of concrete out of the way. Yeah, okay, I'm obsessed. But whatever, I'm going to catch him. I don't care what he told Dan in a private message! THIS IS WAR!

Read it as "stripper" but that's ok...

We get these clubs here in town where the girls all but get nekid. Little pasty things and skimpy drawers are all they can dress down to but it never fails one of the girls will try and earn some extra money and the club gets shut down. I think we are in shutdown mode now

Please extract your mind from the gutter.

I already told you! He don't want water. He can drink from anywhere. He needs food. Sardines work very well, compact and semi-clean. I guess cat food would work as well, but I've always used sardines. Trust me on the live-catch traps. Leave it open. The more open the better.

LOL I am sorry. Just kidding I like Poky. I really enjoyed the green tree back when it was a nice club

I gotta claim it as my birthplace and my home up until after high school, but I really don't like it that much. It has it's good points though.

Going the wrong way for me to get to camping. I always headed north for any camping. But I did get down to Poky a few times

You know funny thing I went in to town today to get some groceries and on the way home I went a different way than I normally do. The wife looks at me funny but I was going past a pile of rocks I know have rockchucks in them. Still way early for them to come out but I am starting to look for them:)
