I Keg but want to bottle leftover

I have never bottled. I will be (corney) kegging a 5.5 gal batch of Sister Star of the Sun IPA . I will have approx 0.5 gal leftover that I would like to bottle into 20 oz PET bottles. My question is.. How much table sugar should I add to each bottle to assist with fermentation? And, is it OK to add the sugar directly to the bottle ?

Add directly? Sure. You can even buy carbonation drops. No need to measure a teaspoon and a half per bottle. Put two in your bottle and wait. Mr. Beer Carbonation Drops
