I forgot to take the starting gravity of the kolsch I put in the primary on 3/4/08, but the kit from northernbrewer said it should be 1.048. Today after 3 weeks it was at 1.012. I had it fermenting the first week at about 62 degrees and the the next two weeks at about 58 degrees. Does 1.012 seem a high for a FG of this beer? The sample i took for the hydrometer reading tasted good, looked cloudy, but I know that will fall out now that I will condition/carbonate it in the keg for 3 weeks.

1.012 is a good final. Three weeks should be long enough.

Caveat...the only way to insure the beer is finished, is to take reading several days in a row to make sure it's not changing.

I'd say you have a nice 4.7% Kolsch on your hands.
