i usually sugar prime my kegs (cause I'm so far from C02 store that i want to save every precious ounce). A friend posed the question... Well doesn't that alter the flavor and abv of the beer. I say it is negligible if at all. WhAt say ye seasoned brewers?
 
It's about the same as priming in the bottle. Biggest difference really is that you're creating some sediment in your keg. I haven't done that in a long while, but I would notice small flavor differences between force carb and primed when I used English strains. It would be a good experiment for you, split a batch (one force carbed and one primed) and then you and your buddy can try them side by side

ha, i actually considered that but the last time he was here, I was doing a yeast side by side, this time it's bottled vs tap water side by side. I figure it's not gonna be enough difference to tell, so I didn't want to go thru with it. But, yes, we think alike in that regard.
