I have access to several whisky barrels.. What should i do with them?

So I have access to 3-4 LARGE barrels from multiple distilleries. Do I, a 10 gallon AG brewer, have any conceivable use for them?

Just kidding. Have some fun with it.do a couple batches of the same beer and fill that sucker up.

If you have any fellow HBers nearby maybe you could get together and do a group brew day to fill them up.

Fill at least one up for sure. I filled one up with two other friends. It is aging now. A friend of mine brewed all weekend long and filled up one himself. Good luck, you won't be disappointed.

I'm thinking these things are close to 50 gallons. Straight from Jack Daniels. Holy crap that is a lot of brewing.

Soooo many uses for large kegs like that. If they are not expensive get them.

Yeah, I was pumped. Jack Daniels is doing a few barrels for a promotional release at my father's restaurant and he told me I could have what I wanted. I'm Sure I can find something to do with them even if it's just end tables.

For free??? Take em! You can get $80 to $100 or more if they are true JD used barrels. Keep a couple and turn the profit from the rest into brewing equip or supplies.
