I guess I am carpe-ing this diem

Well I actually did it... I took the day off work today to brew.

This day will be awesome! Right now I am brewing up a hefe and after that a SMASH. I will also be dividing out my newly acquired hops from the crazy sale 2 weeks ago and vacuum sealing them. I think I will start designing my first label and then probably wash the dog/clean the house. I don't know which of those last two I will do but I'm sure I can find time for the rest .

At the moment I feel bad for the people who are compensating for me being gone at work but I know that after I get a few more homebrews in me I will probably be laughing at them.

Well I actually did it... I took the day off work today to brew.

I did that on Monday I'm at my PTO cap at work, so I need to burn days to keep earning PTO every so often. With two young kids, it's hard to brew on the weekends. A workday brewday while they're at preschool lets me concentrate on my craft & process, and relax.
