Nice little fun fact there, bengerman. I will forever think of Roseanne when I see that acronymn.............I hear Roseanne brews a sick homebrew....

I think the more important question here is, why were you watching old episodes of Roseann?

its sort of nostalgic. it's what we watched when i was growing up. alos, my neice has strep and so she gets to choose what we watch on tv, and its way better than icarly or hannah montana.

I'm guessing it was new to you here on this forum, and when you saw that it caught your eye?

origin not even close to HBT - used in books, and on Rumpole of the Bailey (old BBC sitcom)

I was unemployed not too long ago. No fault of my own. The place I was working at shut down. Anyway, one of the local stations was airing old Roseanne reruns during the daytime.

It didn't exactly lift my spirits.

Methinks you might need a little eyebleach to erase that image.

I vote for the ORIGINAL SHE....

Doesn't Ursula Andres make a much better mental image of Swmbo?

Hubba Hubba!!!

A little SWMBO trivia;

The first use of swmbo was in the serialized novel "She" (who must be obeyed) by H. Rider Haggard published between October 1886 to January 1887....IIRC it is part of the Alan Quartermain novels...Remember the movie King Solomon's Mine

And the Sean Connery Character in the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. That's the main character in the novel/1960something movie.

I beg to differ. Many a fine Saturday morning have I passed away drinking beer and watching Hannah Montana.

thats.... kinda creepy...

and i'm aware that SWMBO is a term outside of these boards, but i was introduced to it here, and it seems to be a very loved term here.
