in anticipation of boiling today. Weather will not permit it today. I also don't have room in my fermenting refrigerator due to my kegging supplies not getting here in time to make room in the refrigerator for a primary. I currently have a carboy with a kolsch that's been lagering for about 5 weeks. I wanted to keg it and then put my new beer in there to ferment for a month.
So, I have this beautiful starter ready to go. The cake is about 1.5" thick and I built the starter in a plastic, 1 quart drink pitcher.
Will I damage the starter if I put it in a refrigerator until I can boil next weekend?
I thought I would let it sit in a pretty cold refrigerator and then bring it to room temp next weekend when I boil this new beer.
Any thoughts?
