Wow. I guess the only peoplewearing them will be the ultimate douches... mid-life crisis men in 2-seater convertible sports cars.

I buy the $10 Jerk-mart ones and when I inevitably lose or break them, buy another pair.

I don't pay any more than 10 bucks for sunglasses. i have literally owned a pair of sunglasses for 15 minutes before losing them.

those are completely pointless!!! sadly, some people have nothing better to spend their money on, just think how much brewing equipment could be bought with that much $$$!!!

I bought a set of Oakley's half jackets 3-4 years ago and still have them. Wallyworld ones... I lost like 10-15 over the years.

Strange but ya pay more for it, you tend to watch out more for it. but 4 grand... or even 1.5 for the aluminum ones is just... bonkers.

The most I have spent on a pair of sun glasses was $25, and they ended up not being as comfortable as I first thought and the lens got tiny scratches all over them whenever I cleaned them. Threw them out two weeks after buying them :(

I wish I could buy the $25 pairs. The last pair I bought was about 4 years ago and they were $520.01, yeah $.01 off. They are a really nice air of prescription Ray Bans. I wear them just about every day. It is true when you pay more for something you take better care of it. However I would never spend $4000 on sunglasses, that's just crazy.

Or at least through clothing!:D

No, those glasses are only $0.99!

I like how the aluminum ones say "Limit one per customer. While quantities last."

Like someone is going to stockpile them

I could buy an entire bicycle made out of carbon fiber for $4000! I can't see how sunglasses made out of carbon fiber should be that expensive. Maybe its the tungsten...

I think Oakleys (and higher priced sunglasses for that matter) are a rip-off anyway. Unless the lens material is something special...and I don't buy that Oakley's "iridium" lens are anything special.

I also subscribe to the cheap sunglasses philosophy....if you are even somewhat active, sooner or later those sunglasses will get broken or lost.

Until I re-read your post and noticed that you said PRESCRIPTION sunglasses, I thought YOU were pretty crazy too! :cross:

My wedding ring was $9.00. To pay $4,000 for a pair of sunglasses is just absolutely ridiculous. I want to get a list of all the people that buy these and have them all encased in carbonite.

I have what I thought was a ridiculous price for sunglasses. $160 for a pair of Maui Jims. They are amazing sunglasses, and were well worth the money 3 years ago.

$4,000. I think I may have just pooped.

Not sure if you looked at this option but I bought my glasses with custom sunglasses that attach magnetically. They came as a set so they are almost undetectable as clip ons. Polarized too. Glasses and sunglasses were around $350. I just got new polarized lenses since the old ones were scratched up. $60 later I'm back in business.
