i added vanilla beans to my simple syrup

so i scraped and added 2 vanilla beans to my simple syrup before adding it to my 3 gallons of cider.i just want a slight vanilla flavor has anyone tried this before??Im just wondering if it will mess up this batch??

I know some people put vanilla in their pumpkin ciders (which I will do to my pumpkin cider when I rack to the secondary) so I see no reason why it would hurt it.
