Hi,

We are in columbus ohio and broke our hyrdometer making a full grain and need to to find a borrower before we loose our batch. can you help us.

The use of a hydrometer, except in the case of a new brewer, is highly over-rated.

As Uncle Charlie says, "R, DW, HAHB!" (Relax, don't worry, {and} have a HomeBrew!)

If you're a new brewer, and your stuff is in the fermenter, wait a few extra days (after you think the ferment is over) to ensure fermentation has stopped, before you bottle.

Or, save up the required $6, and get a hydrometer.

Hydrometers or refractometers a bit more useful withAG since it lets you know if you are hitting your target efficiency.

While they are certainly nice to have, you don't *have* to have one. If you're dong AG, then I'm guessing that you've done this a time or two before and you'll be fine.

Denny's right. A hydrometer is a useful tool for AG stuff. (Although, you can check for conversion with a drop of Iodophor.)
