OH HEY!

I'm here. I just haven't been posting as much because of crazy work stuff. No way in hell he'd make me quit brewing haha.

On a side note; He's VERY into my home brewing now. I brewed an APA that he really really likes, so much that when it's ready and on the fridge he keeps asking me to pour some for him (he still can't manage the keg / co2 system).

Sorry, he could manage the keg/CO2 himself. It's just easier and more fun to have a pretty lady do it for you.

:D

Good for you. My wife taste tests my beer, but the ones she really likes she only drinks a few sips of. She just doesn't care for beer. I may have seen her drink a full glass a couple of times total. I guess she just likes wine and soda better.

My wife was always a wine drinker, she is still. And she used to drink commercial light beer occasionally, I drank it daily. When I started brewing, she was a taster, her palette is very refined. When my beer improved, she really started to enjoy it. One night she noted that beer has more nuances than wine. Now she asks pretty much nightly: "Are you (we) having a beer?"
I am happy to share my beer, and my life, with her.

My wife got me started on this, but doesn't drink beer. I am the one who did all the cooking before this summer so having any of my pots in the kitchen was never an issue. We also have a 1700 Sq ft house plus a full basement and the kids have moved on. So when or if there are any issues I fortunately have space I can move things to and plenty of room to grow. I am glad you two worked things out. My question is what to brew for a woman that doesn't like beer or wine for that matter. Anyone have any suggestions?

Cider, sweetened and kegged

Will that work with frozen juice. ... or is it better to start with regular/fresh cider. Any recipe recommendations? Sorry didn't mean to hijack. .. sometimes I find it better to look for ideas in alt threads to avoid being overwhelmed by suggestions. Find that getting ideas from people that are having same or similar problems can come up with the best ideas.

You can make your cider with any juice as long as it doesn't have preservatives. I've made it with store bought juice, store pasteurized cider, and fresh pressed in pasteurized that was a frozen block in the bucket for a week before I picked it up and three days after I brought it home. Storebought pasteurized May have some haze issues to deal with, and for what it's worth, my wife turns up her nose at hazy cider she just equates haze with bad things in her mind. She knows better but that doesn't change anything.

I've used store bought local cider with good, clear results in the past. I also had other things mixed in, like gold raisins & light brown sugar.

What I do to minimize the pots laying all over is I bought some of the BIG Rubbermaid containers with lids. My pots and misc. equipment lay sideways in them. Makes it look like storage containers. But, if i'm a guessing man i'll bet there is something else going on in his head.
