Just saying hi. Wanted to join the forum and hopefully over time be a good contributor.

I have my first batch down now, and joined for two reasons, I have questions, and this forum is great!

As to my questions (and specifics on my first brew if anyone is interested), it will be in the beginner forum!

Thanks, and so people know a bit more about me, I tend to be a hop-head. I generally prefer IPS, APA, DIPA, etc. Sometimes I do get hopped out, and I am never opposed to trying new things. Case in point I was at a tap takover by a local brewery and tried this Wee Heavy Scotch All they don't often make large batches of. It was ASTOUNDING. ~9.5abv I think and aged on fresh beechwood. It almost tasted like scotch from the wood and the high abv.
