Hi, I've never used anything other than the plastic picnic taps in my beer freezer. I just rest the beer line and taps on top of the kegs so I don't have to spend money on shanks, faucets, etc. However, I'd like to have a nitro tap. Can I just buy an Intertap faucet, stout faucet end adapter with restriction plate, self-closing spring and some other fitting so that I can attach the beer line directly to the stout faucet? That way I could just rest the stout faucet on its side on top of my keg like I do the other taps. What part would I need to buy to attach the faucet directly to the beer line? I use 1/4" beer line. I'd prefer it to be SS.

Just make sure it'll fit your tap.

The one made for Intertap is made from chromed brass.
