How often to replace propane burner? (outdoor 10 gallon batches)

I've had the same propane burner for 8+ years and it still seems to be working fine. I use it for boiling 10 gallon batches outdoors.

Should I replace this thing if its still working?

What do you guys recommend for a new burner that can handle the weight of a kettle with 15+ gallons of wort. Also, needs to be wind proof.

I've had a burner for almost 30 years. When I started back into brewing I was getting a lot of soot on my pot. I went over the burner with a steel brush and cleaned up the surface rust (in storage for 15 years or so - maybe a few turkeys fried with it). It's performing like a champ now, no soot. There is nothing to really go wrong with one.

I would only consider replacing a properly working gas burner if it had irreversibly failed somehow...

If it’s a good cast iron burner, it should last forever assuming it’s taken care of well and not completely rusted out. The burners in my boiler that heat my house are over 50 years old. A soot problem is usually related to an improper air mixture... propane needs a lot of air to burn properly.
