Hi All,

I've harvested and washed some from my last batch.

Now I've been reading about yeast pitching rates and the bit that is most unclear to me is 'how do I know how much yeast I have in my jar'?

Any insight much appreciated!

Thanks,
JT

Probably at least enough for one, if not two, 5-gallon batches of 1.060 or less beer, but without a picture, it's hard to say.

Rule of thumb is the settled yeast slurry at the bottom is about 1 billion cells per mililiter. So if you have 100 mL of the settled slurry, you have 100 billion cells.
