I was able to get some yeast, but I noticed it came in 5 gram packets, I have 2 of them.


Do I need 5 grams or 10 grams for a 5 gallon batch?
 
I assume you have dry yeast by your discription . . .

5gm is enuff but 10gm cant hurt. If you pitch a greater amount of cells it takes less time for your ferment to start because the reproduction phase is shorter.

Last night I pitched a 2 liter starter into 10 gallons of cider
