and 6 tsp = 1 oz
thus (6 tsp/oz * .2oz) = 1.2 tsp per gallon

It calls for 1 oz into 5 gallons so I just mix up 1/4 of that at a time for ease of measurement. So I make up 1.25 gallons with 1/4 oz star san. I bought a small bottle of it when I first got started and now I get the big bottles (cheaper) and refill the small one since it has markings for smaller measurement than the big bottles do.

One capful equals 1.5 tsp. For simplicity, 1capful per gallon of water.

Why not? I typically mix up 1 gallon at a time.

After your answer... 6ml per gallon, I didn't know what else to add. I was trying to anticipate future questions. BTW in case it comes up I use 1.5ml per quart in a spray bottle. You will probably have to remove the needle because the juice is thick.

I just made up a quart for a starter today... 1.5 ml for a quart.
