I'm looking to get a 5 lb aluminum CO2 tank and rather than buy online and pay shipping etc I figure I'll just go to my local welding gas supplier. What should I expect to pay for a new filled tank?

TIA

I see your in Ct. I have a fire protection company in Milford I sell and refill CO2 cylinders.

I'm not too sure, but I know my local homebrew store has new empty tanks for $85 and you swap it for a full tank @ ~$20. Therefore, i'd assume you'd be able to grab a full tank around $80-100... I doubt it would be new.

Just like propane, most places just swap out!

Just me 2 cents, hope it helps.

We have 5lb aluminum cylinders brand new for $95.00 and $15.00 for a recharge. Most recharging is done while you wait. No cylinder swaps you always get your tank back. Also hydrostatic testing done as well. Testing can take about a week give or take.

$80.00 for C02 and the tank Deposit (filled).
Sometimes ya have to fill out paperwork on the tank you now posses.

Refill / (swap out) is ~$15.00 + tax.
in IN.

50-60 for a brand new tank on amazon. Then just swap it at your LHBS or gas supplier for 20 - 25

Check Craigslist first. If you buy a new one, most places will only trade you for a used full one. It's almost pointless to buy one new.

Edit: Oh! I forgot! Check the "for sale" section on this site! There's a guy with great deals on tanks! Right around or cheaper than cl prices...
