How full do you fill your kegs? I've only kegged three batches so far, and the first two, there was about 4" of air between the top of the keg and the beer. The last brew I kegged, I was able to fill the keg completely, with no air space. I siphoned out a pint so that there was room for co2, but will this affect carbonation? Does anyone fill their kegs all the way?

You really want the level of beer to be at least an inch or so below the gas in tube to prevent the beer from getting up into the gas line and possibly foul your regulator.

With batches over 5 gallons I push the beer into the beer out side and then jumper the gas in to the next ones beer out and as a result just fill up to just below the gas in post. Fill to just below the gas in post otherwise. Havent had a backup yet.
