How much 88% lactic acid is needed to lower mash ph by 0.1. Is there a calculator to know how much lactic acid to adjust mash ph on the fly? I know grain weight and volume of water is needed to determine how much lactic acid to add but is there a general rule or equation to determine how much acid is needed?

I think it would depend on your water chemistry. There are more than a few water calculators out there. You can use one of those and see how much acid is needed.

Download and use Bru'n Water or a similar tool. Water PH will depend on your grain bill. So - without knowing:
1) Initial water chemistry
2) Mash volume
3) Grain bill

We cannot even begin to guess the answer.

Once the mash pH is in the ballpark, the acid or base additions are fairly linear for minor pH adjustment. The chart that Lorena mentions is a good approximation. Of course Bru'n Water can assist you with that question too.
