It's been 30 years since I was stationed in Germany but I remember "die" being feminine, "der" masculine, and "das" neutral.

However, that was 30 years ago and I never had formal language training.

Actually I think you're right, but Ahnold was the Terminator so it should definitely be "der" in either event. It's only been 20 years for me, good memory.
