just started a batch about 2 hours ago. didnt use red star since the lbhs didnt carry it instead i used lalvin ec-1118 and used natures necter 100% whole apple juice. now to wait a month and keg let set and start another batch.
i've got a wimpy 1 gallon of it fermenting. poured half the juice from a 1 gallon bottle into a sanitized pitcher, added .4 lb corn sugar to the bottle, shook like hell then topped off and pitched us-05. drilled a hole in the lid of the bottle and popped the airlock in. it's a start...
