Don't make me tap into my savings $$$ to go make a monster batch to put us over the top...

I will do it anyways... Thinking of making it for next Christmas gifts....

Congrats, Ed. You must be proud to see your recipe reach such epic status.

It is pretty amazing since this thread is coming up on 2 years old.

I have found that the ease of making Afpelwein has helped many folks sitting on the homebrew fence. Once they get a taste of success that they created themselves, it gives them the confidence to move forward into making beer since they have much of the equipment and most importantly, the practice at sanitizing fermenters and bottles.

I wonder how many HBT'rs got into homebrewing by giving Apfelwein a try?

All we have to do now is go for the 10,000 imperial gallons (12,010 us gallons).

Congrats EdWort, and thanks for the recipe :)

I wonder when TreeTop is going to start giving Ed some kickbacks for all the Apple Juice that he sells.

10,000 gallons is a lot of juice.

Ok, time for the graph chart update!!!

Here is updated chart of our trek to 10,000 gallons.

Elapsed time was about 1 year, 10.5 months.

Average production was 14.6 gallons/day.

Biggest producer was ???? (I don't have that much detail in the spreadsheet).

Very fitting that Ed was the one to hit 10K with the awesome drink! :tank:

This thread got started on January 24, 2007. I propose we celebrate it as
"Ed Wort's Apfelwine Day" and we all commit to brewing a batch in his honor.
It conveniently is a Saturday and I commit to filling my 14 gallon demijohn
with it on that day! Here is to Ed!
