Ugh, I've only been driving for 6 years and I've had 5 cars. All crappy except 1....and I totaled it :(

1st car 1990 Isuzu Trooper (loved that car and still wish I had it....even though it was a clunker)

1986 Toyota MR2.....this old guy in my neighborhood gave it to me for free because I mowed his yard....it didn't last more than 2 months....wish I had just parked it and waited until I had money to fix it

2000 Dodge Stratus....My grandpa was getting up in years and decided he didn't need a car so he gave it to me....was the only "good" car I've ever had.....I totaled it after only a couple months...was the only accident I've been in (why did it have to be THAT car??)....my grandpa still thinks I have it

1969 baja bug...was a sweet car but needed a bit of work.....owned it for quite a while but couldn't give it the attention it needed. so I had to sell it.....the only car I've ever sold

1994 Volvo 940.....my current car....it works but I'm not a huge fan....no ac...but non of my cars have really had it....not that great of gas mileage...but it gets me around. Hope I can save up enough scratch to get a new car soon...

2004 BMW M-3 (it was time to update)
2008 Lexus ES 350 (the Lexus was getting old, time to update)
Next car Unknown but the wife is wanting another M-3 so probably 2009 M-3.
When I sold the CBR I was promised another Bike "when we can afford it," We have been able to afford it for a while, but now her excuse is "the kid needs a car soon, that will make the insurance too much" or "you are too old for a bike that powerful" (I am into "rice burners")......Funny thing is when we met the thing that brought us together (in Japan in 1986) was we both rode ZX4's (that's how we met).. Women suck when they get old!

82' Plymouth K
Worst. ****box. Ever.

78' Plymouth Volare Wagon
A damn fine car for $600. I met my wife when I owned this, needless to say she was not after my money(then).

88' Pontiac Grand Am (Quad 4, 5 speed)
First "nice" car. Twas fun until I hit a telephone pole, shortly after the second payment...

84' Chevy Caprice Wagon
I had a theory that wagons were the poor mans pickup. Replaced the Volare after it got rear-ended.

94 Nissan Sentra
Great little car. My brothers each had one too.

98 Toyota Tacoma
Had on a Lease. I learned my lesson.

*91 Mazda B2200
For Sale. Body Solid, Smokes like hell...

*99 Chevy Prizim
Bought for the wife, soon to be the stepdaughters. 16 year old girls still scare me.

*03 Ford Focus
Drives nice for cheap, Overall not too bad but I've had a few problems...

*02 Chevy S10 4x4
I just got this yesterday, good deal from a Friend.

74 Honda CB200- Good for learning on

93? Yamaha FZR600- Good for nearly loosing ones license on.

78 Suzuki GS1000- Good for getting back into biking a few years later.

01 Yamaha FZ1- I put 60000 miles on this one in about 4 years. went as far northeast as Nova Scotia, as far southeast as the Grand Canyon...

84 Honda VF700 Got for fifty bucks, sat in corner of garage, traded for a case of Heineken.

85 Honda XR600R. Monster dirtbike, good for learning proper throttle control.

*05 Suzuki DR650 This one makes me grin, light is right.

99 Kawasaki KLR 650 Traded for the ragged FZ1.

*06 Kawasaki KLX 250 Traded for the KLR, like I said, light is right.

*I still have these.
Thats 18 since 93...

Wow..I haven't thought about this in a while. Pretty sure this is the correct order for

83 Honda Accord (Manual) - First car. Killed it, over 250K Miles. Taught my brother and now wife how to drive manual w/this car.
89 Toyota Truck (Manual) - Hand me Down : Mom reclaimed it

Marriage...so multiple vehicles after this
83 Toyota Camry (Manual) - Hand me Down: Over 200K Miles and a rebuilt transmission : Killed it before mom could reclaim it! 🤪
96 Toyota Tacoma (Manual) - Hand me Down : Mom reclaimed it
02 Hyundai Sonata - Traded In for Honda Odyssey below
01 Suzuki SV650 - Sold, probably never should have gotten rid of this bike.
05 Triumph Speed Triple SE - Totaled shortly after 6 months and 5K miles...😫
05 Scion xB - Hated this vehicle..but it was slow and cheap. 2 requirements after totaling a more or less new motorcycle...
05 Honda Odyssey - Taking 2 cars to transport 3 kids got old super quick...hence the minivan. 180K+ miles and rebuilt transmission -> Donated to Humane Society and auctioned. CarMax wouldn't take it.
82 Toyota Truck (Manual) - Loved this thing. FUGLY as all get out...totally stripped. 4 speed manual, no power anything but drove like a champ...until it didn't. Herky jerky..engine light would come and go, got to the point where I wasn't willing to put any more money into it.
08 Honda 600RR - Funds from SV650 went here for this track toy, sold because those track days just got too damn expensive...
08 Yamaha WRX - Gave this to my dad so he could continue riding in desert. Very much looking forward to getting it back when he decides to hang up his boots.
04 Toyota Tacoma - This replaced the 82 truck above. This one had power everything, AC, cruise control over 300K miles and ran like a freakin champ. Until..I gave it to my son....because I felt bad because he had no vehicle to drive after he totaled his car in an accident. About 6 months afterwards, he moved out..and..then he proceeded about a year later to destroy the cylinder head. I usually tell that story by starting off with "Yes, you can kill a Tacoma just ask my son how..." 🤬. Yeah..still bitter about this one. I had hoped at one point to repeat the cycle of reclamation 😁

Current Stable
16 Subaru Outback (Wife's Car)
19 Kia Optima (My Car)
16 Triumph Tiger - Funds from 600RR went into this bike, much more practical and more fun since I can/will ride this one on the street.
12 Chevy Volt (Kids Car)

you my sir, have owned A LOT of vehicles! :mug:

Started driving in '94...

The below are all my vehicles, i.e. my daily driver, and don't count ex-wife's or current wife's cars:

1985 1/2 Ford Escort (4spd manual): Hand me down. Crashed (totaled because it was worth $1100 at that time) after first year of college.

1989 Ford Probe GT (5 spd manual): Fun car. Sold because I was given the...

1985 Chrysler LeBaron Turbo: Hand me down when my Grandma couldn't drive any more. Died because it had a K-car transmission... Lived without a car for a while because I had already bought the...

2001 Suzuki SV650S: Miss that bike. So much fun... Bought the below so I could do track days with it and highsided it at 75 mph...

2000 Ford Ranger XLT (5spd manual): Needed a "cage" and needed something to haul the bike to track days. Kept for 10 years, sold and replaced with...

2009 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon (2dr, 6 spd manual): Always wanted one, and needed something with 4 legit seats for the kids to replace the truck. Still own it and it's now purely a toy, but had to supplement with the...

2014 Ford Flex Limited: Like a La-Z-Boy on wheels. I love this vehicle. It's the cargo shorts and white New Balance sneakers of the automobile world, i.e. it's "dad cool". Needed it because after getting divorced and then remarried, I had three kids, a wife, and the Jeep only had 4 seats... That wasn't gonna work lol. Needed a new family hauler.

Got my license in '90 if I remember right...

In order the best I can remember:

1976 Pontiac Grand Prix
1980 Chevy Monza 305ci 4 speed conversion (would smoke one tire as far as you wanted!)
1985 Dodge Charger 2.2L
1977 Chevy Monza Spyder (Still have this one in storage)
1979 Monte Carlo
1976 Chevy 4X4
1968 Pontiac LeMans (Still have this one in running condition)
1967 Mustang (In Storage project car)
1972 Chevy Nova (In storage project car)
1993 Ford Ranger (Gutless V6)
1995 Ford F-150 short box
1995 Pontiac Grand Prix
1977 F-150 4X4
1985 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe (I liked this one a lot)
1983 Ford Thunderbird (bought for the 302 in it
1990 F-350 Flatbed
1996 F-150 2WD
1977 Mercury Marquis (Ghetto Cruiser with bass boat metal flake green and "Dripping" window tint)
2003 Silverado 1/2 ton

2002 Audi TT 225 convertible
2016 Subaru WRX STi
1973 F-250 2WD (Inherited this one)

Well, I think that's a complete list...

Not as many vehicles as some are posting. Ok, compared with most.

1978 Ford Fairmont
1984 Bronco II
1999 Ford Ranger
2002 Ford Ranger
2015 Silverado 1500
2019 Silverado 1500
2020 Silverado 1500 (the 19 didn't have some features I wanted, and the sales guy had pulled the wrong one from the lot for the 2019).
Waiting for the 2022 refresh 1500's to be on the website so I can do a configuration and get it priced for built to order (had to on the 2020 to get the combo I wanted).

You high-sided? It was on a race track though? Close contact with bales of hay I hope.

Yeah, high-sided at the Streets of Willow. My buddy couldn't understand how I could highside a 66hp bike in a 20 degree banked turn (it was in "the bowl". I guess when you crack on the throttle just as the suspension bottoms out in a bump, well, it happens lol.

It threw me over the bike, I ended up landing on my head and shoulder. I still have a scar from where the inside of my leathers ripped a chunk of skin the size of a half-dollar out of my shoulder. Sprained (luckily not torn) ligament in my knee...

But still 100x safer than riding on the street lol.

1991 Dodge Shadow hatchback (high school car)
1991 Jeep Cherokee Laredo - Dad bought it new at the end of '90, I got it near the end of '95. Drove it till 2003
2003 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec-V - totaled after 4 months and 4800 miles
1993 Honda Prelude S - still have this one but it hasn't run since 2014. Stock pistons didn't like nitrous and then a turbo, started to rebuild and life got in the way. One day...........
2001 Dodge Dakota Sport -needed something cheap after the Prelude died. Standard cab, power nothing, plate was "NO POWR".
1998 Mazda 626 - MIL's old car, sat for a couple years when she quit driving it. Needed something bigger than the truck for kid reasons. It was a manual, it was minimally fun to drive
2011 VW Jetta SE - commute traffic made the manual trans in the 626 less fun, wanted something slightly more modern. Bought in 2012 with 11k miles, still drive it but now at 11 years old with ~175k and would be a lot more if I hadn't worked from home for the last 2 years.

And since I've at least had my name on the registrations these count

2005 Jeep Liberty - bought it for my wife in 2007, gave it my daughter in 2017
2013 Hyundai Sante Fe GLS - replaced the Liberty

First car purchased in 1979
69 VW bug
71 Toyota Corolla
74 Datsun 240Z
86 Saab 900 - purchased new
9? Mazda 626
96 Saab 9-3 turbo - amazing car - still pissed at the pickup truck that totaled it by tailgating and crushed it between him and an SUV full of Philadelphia lawyers (luckily the driver told the police that he saw me come to a complete stop before being shoved into him)
01 Saab 9-3 sport combi turbo
06 Toyota RAV4 - only automatic in the bunch
14 Mazda 3 - purchased new, now at 159k miles zero problems

1991 subaru legacy
1990 toyota corolla
1995 mitsubishi eclipse
1991 geo storm
1999 saab 9-3
2001 saab 9-3
