I've just recently started getting into harvesting and still not sure how to tell how much I should use. I currently have about 1/2 cup of Wy 1010 in my fridge that is pretty compacted and looks pretty pure. Is there any way to estimate cell count by cups or ml? Thanks

I lay them all out across a large sanitized dining room table and let my 3 kids count them up for me.....:mug:

I have no idea except to say that I've harvested and split into 4 jars and those took off and fermented out on mid-gravity beers just great with no starters. I'm interested in the answers you receive as well as the Wyeast site (HT for that, Bsquared)
