how do i delete my account

I no longer brew and trying to delete my account here. It's a great site and I may be back in the future but for now I'd like to delete this account. Can anyone help guide me where/how to do this?

At the last mod convention in Vienna, I distinctly remember TxBrew saying we don't do this. Then we took a shot of liquid courage, dropped off the ski lift, and down the mountain we went. Woosh! But yeah, I'm sure he said that.

Joined 7 years ago. Posted 16 times. And wants to delete the account. Sounds like a hermit that doesn't quite understand how the intergoogle webtube machines work these days.

Either that or getting ready to run for public office.
 
Op, just log out and don't log back in. No need to delete the account.
Hopefully you return to this wonderful hobby but in the meantime, turn all notifications off in your control panel preferences.

That must have been at the secret summit where txbrew decided to kill the original hbt app..

Maybe he got the idea that the NSA was hacking his HBT account and he started getting paranoid.

Perhaps the NSA is watching all of us...uh oh...gotta go...
 
Ok, so I had to Google the user name....damn, no wonder he wants his name deleted from the net.
 
So uhm...google search...yeah. Then again if you google my user name half of the search results had me wondering who else used the very unique name of Marc77. Those bastards, they used my user name! I'm going to have to challenge someone to fisticuffs at dawn!
 
How did he not know people were gonna read this and then check it out? Hilarious.
 
Ok, I had to google my screen name. I sure am glad it didn't come back with anything like the OP's results.

But before I use any other screen name on a forum, I'm definitely going to google it.
 
We do not hard delete memberships.

Forums are collaborative efforts. It's not your post, but everyone's post that leads the success of resolving brewing issues.

If one is missing it can make everyone else's time for nothing, so for that reason we don't delete.

Damn. I Googled the OP's name. Then I clicked on his YouTube account. Only after a bunch of computer alarm bells from IT went off did I realize it was an Xtube account, not a YouTube account. I really wish I would have done that on my computer, not the work computer.

But, really, starting a thread asking for your account to be deleted will generate more profile hits than starting a thread asking for members to view your profile.

I should be expecting a nasty email Monday morning...

It wasn't the same thing but I was trying to search Craigslist for brewing stuff. When I backed out to the main pages finger clicked the mouse on accident. Of course it was on the worst link possible....casual encounters.

Awesome, didn't get an email but got an inquiry. Told them and they just said be more careful. Sorry about your email or visit on Monday.
