Hi, I was looking for some information on how to make cider from fresh apples. One of my friends has been making cider for years, but he uses store-bought juice.

I bought a cold press juicer to make my own cider, and I'm looking for more information. My friend isn't always willing to help.

Google showed me this forum.

I was doing my home work for first brew...
I like to do thing with mentality "measure once and do 15 times" it is not about the ens but the Journey...

I stumbled onto Homebrew Talk while taking a trip on the East Coast with my family last summer. We spent a week in Washington, D.C. exploring the history of the area. One day, we took a river cruise up the Potomac to visit Ole George Washington's plantation. While there, we learned about the distillery on the property. Down in the field area, there were some hops growing and that kindled an interest in trying to find a recipe for a George Washington era beer to brew when I got home.

Riding the bus from Washington, D.C. to New York City, I was surfing the Interweb and stumbled on the Homebrew Talk forum having found a recipe that came up during a Google search. I found that recipe and the rest is history as I have been in and out of the forums ever since. Pretty awesome stuff and I keep learning stuff to take into every brew session I do at home now.

I found a thread on this website via [search engine of choice] while looking for some information about whether it would be a good idea to use the yeast from the bottom of my brewing vessel in new batches. I decided to make an account as I wanted to join an online homebrewing community.

Been having a really difficult time trying to sell some equipment locally (Is home-brewing a dying hobby??) so I was searching for other online communities. 👍🏼
