This meme has forced me to rewatch the cringe worthy "you're breaking my heart" scene, and it's absolutely right. Padme gives birth to close enough to full term twins within a day of that scene, but she runs out the spaceship towards Vader like someone who isn't remotely pregnant.
Having just lived with a very pregnant person who only carried one baby, Padme didn't run like a pregnant woman carrying twins that were basically at term. I'm sure that some of us have seen videos on YouTube of
very pregnant women running 5 minute miles, but those ladies have to be training hard all through their pregnancy. We were not treated to a Padme exercise montage at any point. That scene should've looked more like:
Spaceship lands. She waits to see him on the landing pad before she opens the ship ramp, groans while slowly standing up, waddling decisively out, and yelling at Vader to get his butt over because her feet hurt. She cuts to the chase about the younglings. When he evades the question she asks him again. She would proceed to beat the heck out of him for a moment while he's surprised and unwilling to even restrain her. Kenobi would take the opportunity to get out of the ship, and would probably have been surprised but anticipated that Vader wouldn't appreciate getting beat up, and might've tried to physically separate them before Vader strangles her. She'd yell at Vader about how she's been carrying his baby for months while he gallivants across the galaxy, and she can't believe he'd repay her by killing a bunch of kids, and oh by the way how could she ever trust him with kids again. Then I don't really know how that scene ends.
Yeah George, you really kind of messed up everything about that scene. The lightsaber duel was cool, but maybe you shouldn't have been in such a hurry to get to that.
