I am looking for advice on what type of hose I can get to use connected to a sink for hot water. All RV "garden" hoses seem to say not for use with hot water.

Also, to quicken getting to strike temp does anyone start with hot water from their tap? (I currently have an electric water heater if that matters).

I don't use hot water from the tank to fill my HLT... it just seems wrong.
There was a thread recently on this subject. There is a heat/potable water reinforced PVC hose out there, but I wouldn't use it. vinyl chloride is a carcinogen, and I just wouldn't use it.
Low pressure (regular) silicone is safe and cheep enough.
Reinforced silicone for high pressure is expensive, but is my choice.
