Hops near an ingound pool?

Hops are flowers that grow like vines. No large root system to worry about. At least not large enough to crack a pool.
 
Their roots spread in all directions and down pretty deep in good soil (trust me, I've dug up and transplanted more than my share of root crowns), but they're not damaging like some tree roots can be. If they hit an obstruction they'll stop or spread another way. You should be fine as long as you prep your soil well and don't spill/splash too much chlorine on them.
