- My first hopburst-I like it!
Here is the recipe for a small batch all grain Hopburst APA I made a while ago:
3.5 lbs Pale Ale malt
1.5 Vienna malt
0.5 dark/caramel wheat malt
Mash schedule:
20 min @ 104
15 min @ 120
20 min @ 140
45 min @ 158
10 min @ 168
Amarillo, Citra, Simcoe.
0.3 each @ 20 min
0.2 each @ 10 min
0.3 each @ 5 min
About 44 IBU, pretty much midway between a pale ale and an IPA.
Very tasty citrus/pine flavor.
