so i was recently given like 3/4 lb of columbus hops. but they're 2 months old and they've been kept in regular zip loc bags in the refrigerator. what should i expect if i use these? the alpha was 17.9%.

There might be some AA loss but it's probably negligible. I'd be more worried about off-flavors from the refrigerator. If they're pellet hops, you have less to worry about than whole flower.
Smell them and taste them. If they have any flavors you don't want in your beer, I wouldn't use them --but of course, this applies to hops regardless of how they're stored.
