Hop flavoured toffee - anyone tried it?

The idea occurred to me to make some toffee (i.e. boil sugar, golden syrup, butter, water until it reaches the "soft crack" stage) with some hops added at various times, possibly mostly at "flameout".

Then to pour into a tray as usual and leave to set. Might end up with a bitter-sweet candy, maybe with some hop aroma.

Has anyone tried this before? Reckon it would work? :fro:
