Hop back vs dry hopping.

Can I get similar results with hop backing instead of dry hopping? I figure it would cut down on particulats in my beer.

I've tried before and after hop backing twice now. IMO, it is suitable for "freshening up" a beer, but not a substitute for dry hopping.
