Hop advice from californians?

Hello, I live in the ba area and have decided to grow hops a few months ago, like july. Now my nbines are between 6 inches and two feet. Should I cut for winter or just let them hang out thru winter into spring?

I think we are going to have a mild winter...I am going to harvest with minimal trimming and let it do its thing
