Lets see what everybody else does. It's my first year with homegrown hops. (Cascade, Williamette and Goldings) After harvest I immediately put them in a food dehydrator and set it on its lowest setting (95 Deg) so as not to damage any of the oils. I have found that approx. 30 hours brings them to a nice dry but not extremely brittle stage that can still be handled without them crumbling. I then weigh them out and vacuum seal them which takes a nice real big bag of hops to small bag real quick. I then throw them in a freezer.
When I have taken them out for a test they are not really "frozen" since the moisture is gone. They are just kind of flat from the vacuum.
My question is this. Does any body else do this and wlld the integrity of the lupulin be uncompromised? I haven't used them yet in a brew so I'm just wondering.
Thanks

I use the same method of storage and have seen no loss of quality. I just brewed a beer a few months ago with what was left of last years crop and it turned out great.
