Also I am new to homebrewing, would there be any chance the sale could include a quick lesson on how things work?

Whereabouts are you? There are several good clubs around that corner of Michigan that I could steer you toward.

Sorry I didn't reply, I am new to this and have been playing with my new toys.
You're going to have to treat me like an imbecile because I have no idea what im doing... what's a club exactly?

Homebrew clubs are groups of brewers and beer (plus, mead, cider, wine ...) lovers who get together on a regular basis. Typical meetings have an educational presentation (styles, techniques, etc.), sharing homebrews, hanging out with a bunch of fun people, and more.

They are a great way to get advice on how to use your new equipment. I have no doubt that you will get an invitation (or three) to come to someone's house to see them brew a beer from start to finish.

I honestly can't think of a better way for a person in your position to get a jumpstart in your new hobby.

What town do you live in?
