Am I the only one that likes to crack open a homebrew in the shower? Trying to figure out if that is weird or not. Sorry for the tmi.

Well you might be different, but hey we all are. Most of the world drinks Budlight. eewww.:D

It's great to have a beer in the shower, especially after a lot of manual labor. It's pretty relaxing. Now I see why wine in a bathtub is so popular. Beer in a shower is just as good.

wait.. IN the shower? Doesn't that dilute the brew? Wine in the bath means that the glass is above the water. Beer in the shower suggests that the water is in the beer... no? :mug:

Nah, I don't keg yet so I just *gasps* leave it in the bottle.

Nothing weird there; I've been toting beer into the shower now and then all my adult life. When I became a homebrewer, I just started carrying better beer in with me. Of course my wife thoroughly disapproves, no matter what kind of beer I'm drinking. I tried telling her I'm into beer shampoos, but she didn't buy it. :D

But as mentioned, I take bottles instead of glasses; they're less likely to strew broken glass across my toes if I accidentally bump them against the tile shower walls. There's also less chance of splashing unwanted suds into my suds....

Love me a good shower beer. For best effect, go with a hot, steamy shower, and a really cold, somewhat lighter beer. The hot/cold sensations enhance the whole experience.

I can't say I haven't done that before, maybe 3-4 times. My shower has a tiled ledge above the shower head that fits a glass perfectly.
Great after 100+ degree yard work.

Haven't done shower beer (yet, it sounds nice), but once I took a six-pack into the bath tub with me and vowed not to get out until all the beer was gone.

Needless to say, the bathwater was pretty gross by the time I got out....

Challenge ACCEPTED!

(And yeah, get on the shower beer train ASAP- I'll be camping for a few nights next week before staying in a hotel, and that hotel shower has shower beer written all over it.)

My lovely wife has been known to bring me a shower beer after a day of hard work, and sometimes not so hard work. She's a sweetie!

When I was river rafting on several day extended trips, we usually set up a solar shower. Sometime with a privacy screen, sometimes out in the open. Shower beer was the order of the day. Always had a can (responsible boater, no bottles!) right with me.

+1 for shower beer!

Shower beer is somewhat of a post strenuous work ritual for me. It's often not homebrew for me, though. "Lawn mower beer" got its name for a reason. I keep some on hand just for that reason.

My parents have a hot tub in their backyard, so I've been known to enjoy a beer there when I go for a visit, but in the shower? I guess it would be easy enough to keep a bottle out of the spray.

Never stay in the shower long enough to worry about drinking a beer, but do love a good homebrew while I'm shaving; especially when I'm using one my straights instead of the double edge.

I've always wanted to use a straight razor myself. I had a barber when I lived in Chicago who used one and it was great.

No. I get into the shower, get clean, then I sit and relax with a beer. I can understand laying in a bathtub and relaxing with a bottle of wine, but when I am in the shower I am standing, not relaxing.

http://www.straightrazordesigns.com/ <-- imo best place to get the gear to start using one.

http://straightrazorplace.com/ <--I would say this is the homebrewtalk.com website for everything straight razors.

http://mamabearssoaps.com/ <-- best shave soap I've tried to date, and it is all handmade by a fellow homebrewer.

I would honestly recommend everyone to try a straight razor; in the end they are the best shave you can get.

The shower beer is for those moments where you don't feel like waiting that extra five minutes for a beer. Maybe you just hiked 20 miles, maybe you just completed an all day house project, maybe it was a physical day at work, or maybe you are on vacation and just woke up from a nap, but damn it, you've been thinking about that first beer for a long time now and you aren't going to deprive yourself for another minute.

Gross bathwater? Too much information...

Don't know if I've ever thought about bringing a beer into the shower, but after finishing a bicycle century (100 miles in a day) would be as close as I've come.
Damn that first beer tasted good.

I've had a shower beer maybe twice, both were some good ole Coors Light cans. My current shower has no where for a beer to rest. Plus most of my showers are before work or after the gym so it's probably for the best not to drink in the shower
