Well technically I made it back in September, but I'm just getting to drinking it now. An american brown ale for the season.

10 lbs 2-row
2 lbs victory
8 oz c-80
8 oz chocolate

mash in at 155 for 60

.75 oz magnum @ 60 (13.something %)
1 oz willamette @ 15 (5.something %)
.5 oz cascade @ 5 (7.2%)
1 oz cascade 7.2 dry hop
us-05

o.g. 1.052
f.g. 1.011

it's so malty, yet not overly sweet.

to quote beerfest "I want to freeze it, skate on it all winter, thaw it out and drink it."

cheers!

safeale us-05. used to be us-56. apparently it's the same as wyeast 1056 and white labs 001. also supposed to be the sierra nevada yeast.

but you can't believe everything you read online now.

the color is pretty much spot on for a brown ale. whatever it is, i gotta stop drinking it or i'm never going to work tomorrow!
