OK, so here's the deal. As many of you already know, we bought a 3 barrel DME brew system from a brewery in Jackson TN. Well, now it's time to go and get it.

I'll be flying into Memphis on June 10th. On June 11th, I head over to Jackson to help break down the system, get it palletized and loaded onto a 24' rental truck. Then on or around Sunday June 15th I'm driving it back to Seattle!

Who wants to meet up for a beer? Or, if you're in TN, who wants to help decommission a brewery? :ban:

Once the truck is loaded, my route back will take me back through Memphis, north to St. Louis and across MO to Kansas City. From there I head north again through Omaha and Sioux Falls then west to Rapid City. Then it's the home stretch through Billings, Butte, Missoula, Spokane and finally Seattle.

Hope to share a beer or two with some HBT'ers along the way! :mug:

You're always passing through Portland! :p Trying to meet as many HBT'ers as olllllo, eh? It sounds like a fun time, I hope you meet many of our peeps.

I work at two of the four breweries in Billings, and if I'm not working I'm probably hanging out at another one. Let me know when you're coming through. If it's between 4-8 and not on a Sunday, you can come visit one of our tasting rooms (weird Montana laws). Any other time, come on down to Montana Brewing Co.. Good food, good beer, and I can give you a tour of the brewery.

well if for some reason you feel the need to go to mexico, then hit me up. otherwise Im really not on your route.

But good luck!

You need to turn that truck north to Cincy for NHC so we can all drool over your new equipment. :D

Jackson's a little trip for me, but with the NHC right around the corner, I'm gonna have to pass. Would have been nice meeting ya!

Hopefully I'll be up in Seattle before too long.

If you need a dinner date with me and hubby in Omaha, just let us know. I'll buy you dinner at Upstream Brewery. They won 3 medal in the recent world beer cup and have lots of tasty food. If you manage to come through on a weekend, Upstream is a fine way to spend an hour or two in the afternoon.

I'll definitely let you know when I'm coming through. I've been to Montana Brewing Co. but it'll be nice to get a behind the scenes tour. IIRC it's right down town so it'll be a challenge parking that truck.

Oh, bummer. I'm going to be a few days too early, should've planned better. We could've set up the brew system in the HBT booth. :rockin:

Des Moines could easily fit into your trip.

Absolutely, just looked at the map and I'll be bypassing Sioux Falls in favor of Des Moines.

Let me know when you will be passing through Kansas City. I would love to meet up for a beer.

Cool, I'll be sure and let you know.

I second Nurmey with Upstream Brewing. It is a MUST hit on your trip since I think it was you that told me to go there in the first place. ;) If it wasn't three states away I would drive there at least once a month.

Very cool, I was at Upstream a few years ago. It was definitely a highlight of that road trip. Would love to meet up.

Woo Hoo, it looks like it's going to take me 3 weeks to get back to Seattle. :D

Let me know when you pass through Austin on the way to El Paso & LA to head up the coast. Beer & BBQ will be waiting for you at the ranch!

What exactly does decommissioning a brewery entail? Either way I'd definitely grab a beer with you in Memphis. We can grab a pint..or 3 at Boscos (our local brewery/pub). Or if you want more of a variety we can go to a nice family owned beer garden I know. Good selection of bottled beer.... micros and imports.

Basically breaking it down, loading it onto pallets, etc.

It'd be great to grab a beer in Memphis. I was at Bosco's a few years ago and really enjoyed it. Also, MUST GET BBQ.

And the family owned beer garden sounds awesome. :mug:
