I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with the Hisense 7.0 chest freezer from Costco. I'm looking for something that can fit 2 carboys on the floor and the price is right for this one if it works. I'll go try to fit some soy sauce buckets in there next time I go to Costco just to get an idea if I no one on here has tried one out. I've seen some info about the Hisense 7.2, but Costco by me only has the 7.0.

Also posted in fermenter forum, but figured there may be some more traffic over here.

When I was shopping for a freezer to make a keggerator, i made cardboard cutouts the size of my kegs so that i could lay them out and physically see how many would fit. There is also a thread where someone listed a ton of different freezer specs and how many kegs or fermenters of various sizes would fit in each one. Maybe someone has it bookmarked and could share it

If it helps at all I have either the Hisense 7.0 or 7.2, I can't remember exactly but I believe it to be 7.2..anyway, I use mine as a keezer and can get 4 ball locks on the floor. I'm not sure how that translates to carboys but I thought it might help. Cheers!

I just picked up the Hisense 7.0cf FE703 from Costco yesterday for $119.99 on sale.

Here are the internal dimensions:

Height: 27" from floor to lid.
Height: 18.5" from hump to lid.
Height: 8.5" from floor to hump.
Floor Width: 21.5"
Hump Width: 8.5"
Total Width Measured at the top: 30"
Depth (front to back): 15"

Hope that helps, I don't have any carboys to test but I can fit 3 5gal ball lock kegs on the floor and 2 on the hump with a 8" collar. (one of the kegs on the hump is about 1/3 off the hump. I wish I could of got the 7.2cf as you can get 4 kegs on the floor but Costco no longer sells them. I couldn't pass up the great deal for 119.99 for the 7.0 cf.

Prost! :mug:
