These boots were made for walking....

Don't believe gin soigne has made an appearance before, but I could be wrong.

It's funny, I remember seeing gin Caledonia barrels in the bottle room and wondering what they were for.

Now I know.
Id always assumed those barrels were used for gin Clara, no? Been a while since I’ve been up that way though so might have missed it if there were more.

Gin Soigne is exciting, I agree. This said, I was really craving Convivial today. This was the most recent batch I could find in my house. Despite being three years old, this was an absolute treat. Like other older Convivials I've had, the color on this is much lighter than while fresh - more a dark orange than a deep cranberry. Color aside, I still got that hibiscus flavor with a good amount of lemon. If anything, I'd say perhaps more tart than while fresh but absolutely nothing wrong with this. Carbonation a bit high as I lost some of the bottle due to gushing, but I loved this:

Higher temps going to melt the snow, so will be muddy....period.:D

This is a great point - come to think of it, I actually don't think I've driven up to Hill in the mud yet - any recommendations on how to attack the dirt road(s) in a FWD car?

^i've heard about outdoor like ice skating trails up in Quebec... always wanted to check one out but each time i've been up for Christmas the past few times it's been too warm and none of them are open, guess i need to make a mid January/February visit to experience them

This post was incredibly helpful.

From one of the facebook groups:
Dry-Hopped Arthur
Arthur Puncheon
Art Plum
Art 375s and 750s (batch bottled in 2014 it appears)
BA Dorothy

That’s an incredible list.
2014 Art would be b3, I believe.
I really want to try Art Plum. Which I’m sure is very shocking

Really enjoyed Arthur and Dorothy day today at Hill!

Art b5 - ridiculously refreshing and smooth, may have preferred this to b3.

Art plum - probably my favorite of the group. That plum punch at the end is fantastic. Funky, fruity, mild to medium tartness. Fantastic.

Except it decided to be summer today.

Warm winter Wednesdays at Hill Farmstead are easily the best days in the calendar. There's honestly no other dates remotely in their class, in my estimation. These days are so much better than anything else I've lived, in their years, and this is true across so many different months. It's just unbelievable the degree to which I enjoy these days more than other days of the same week. I don't say this lightly either. It would be convenient if I didn't need to wait a couple hundred days for my favorite dates, but that's just the reality of the situation.
